Yvresse was originally launched in 1993 under the name of Champagne. The selection of this name was vigorously opposed by the French champagne makers. After long and hard fought court proceedings, the name, and to an extent the bottle design, had to be changed. It then became Yvresse. The name Yvresse, is a play on the French word ivresse, meaning intoxicated with joy and Yves, Saint Laurent’s first name. Yvresse opens with the golden glow of nectarines, then melds their just plucked juiciness with mint and anise. The heart is composed of many many roses at their full blown peak accompanied by Chinese lychee- a luscious fruit with a mouth watering taste.
